~ Stations of the Cross ~
cross

Saint Brendan Technology Club students have created the Stations of the Cross to share with you during Lent. If you want to see the actual stations pictured on our pages, please visit St. Brendan Church located at 455 Whalley Avenue, New Haven, Connecticut.

Jesus lived a happy, fulfilling life. He was always sharing, caring, and loving everyone around him. His life was busy showing his disciples how to love God at all times even when it hurt him. For the love of God and all people Jesus had to suffer and die. The Stations of the Cross tell us the story of this very sad day.

Stations are a stopping place along a route, just like when you go on a very long car ride you stop at a rest station to stretch or possibly you stop at a gas station to refuel. The Stations of the Cross are events that happened during Jesus' route to the Cross, his very sad journey for the love of God and all of us.

Before you begin your journey please take a moment to say the following prayer.

Jesus, I want to make
this way of the Cross
to show how much I love You
and thank You,
and to tell You how sorry I am
for having hurt You by my sins.

I wish to gain all the indulgences I can
and offer them for the Poor Souls in Purgatory,
especially for our family and friends.

Mary, Mother of Sorrows,
be with me,
and help me pray well.
