We Adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
Because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Like a parade, many people came to Calvary's roadside to see Jesus carrying the cross. Some people laughed and mocked Jesus' terrible suffering, while others were very sad.
A brave woman named Veronica was full of kindness and concern for Jesus. She wanted to help Jesus. As Jesus passed her carrying His heavy cross, she stepped out of the crowd and with her veil, she wiped the blood and sweat from the suffering face of Jesus. Her simple act of kindness helped Jesus continue His horrible journey to show how much He loved God and us.
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, help us to do the simple acts of kindness to show our love for You. Teach us to encourage our family and friends with words of support. Prepare us to always be willing to give a helping hand. Amen.
