We Adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
Because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
Jesus was very scared, He felt all alone and about to die, He called out to God. He was in great pain but He was only thinking about His love of God, His mother, and all the people around Him. He asked the people gathered to care for one another.
Finally when all His strength was gone, He gave Himself over to God and died upon the wooden cross. Right up to his last breath of life He showed His love of God and us.
It is said that Jesus' cross is known as the "wood of salvation". His death on this wooden cross gives us all our hope and salvation. We love Jesus as He loved us.
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, help me realize that death will now bring us to heaven because You died for us. Teach me how to live like you, so when I die I will go to heaven. Amen.
