We Adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
Because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.
In the time of Jesus, many criminals also died on a cross. They were tied to their crosses so all can see. Jesus was not tied. He was nailed to the cross before all could see. Everyone saw that this "preacher" and "prophet" could not escape.
Jesus, who rescued people from the prisons of blindness, sin, sickness and death, was now unable to get free. How can Jesus bear his pain and suffering? It can only be his great love of God and love of us.
PRAYER:
Dear Jesus, help me to learn how to see others who feel all alone and their hearts are full of pain.Help me to help them, let them know that Jesus died so we all could be free and full of hope. Amen.
