Jesus is Stripped of His Clothes

IV

We Adore you, O Christ, and we praise you.
Because by Your holy cross You have redeemed the world.

After Jesus stood again and lifted His painfully heavy cross, He took His last steps to the top of Calvary Hill. Jesus was now able to drop His cross to the ground.

Jesus peered out into the crowd of people as he was again mocked and humiliated. Next the soldiers stripped Him of his clothes leaving Him embarrassed, without any dignity. Jesus was treated as any other common criminal. His enemies were thinking of Him as a worthless human being.

Jesus' followers saw Him as the man who lived the Love of God and the love of His people.

PRAYER: Dear Jesus, help me to treat others with dignity, respect, and love. Help me to clothe them with the love of you and teach them the values of life. Amen.
